ART.IF.ACT DANCE PROJECT PREPARES TO MAKE ITS DEBUT

Ashley Bowman and Claire Hancock, founders of the collaboration-minded Art.If.Act Dance Project, announced the dates for the coming out performances of their new company. At 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 22-23 in the Stevie Eller Dance Theatre, Art.If.Act will unfurl its new approach to the dancers’ art.

Details are still developing, but we know the collaborators will be composer Vincent Calianno, choreographer James Clouser, violinist Diane Wuthrich, cellist Anne Gratz, mime performers Rick Wamer and Lori Heald.

Bowman also plans to introduce film into the mix of performing arts disciplines. Our feature on the founders’ creative approach to dance is posted on the Dance Reviews page.

Tickets are $20, with group discounts. Student rush tickets for $12 go on sale an hour before each performance. For details, www.artifactdanceproject.com or phone 520-780-6879.
